ARTT, a non-profit (501c3) totally volunteer group, raised nearly 1.6 million dollars for the restoration of Viroqua, Wisconsin’s historic Temple Theatre. With a membership of nearly 250 community members, businesses, foundations, and Viroqua High School alumni from all over the country, ARTT’s goal to bring the Temple Theatre back to its original classical revival beauty was reached in 2002. At the December 2002 Board meeting, the directors voted to change ARTT's name from "Associates to Restore the Temple Theatre" to "Associates of the Restored Temple Theatre." The official name change reflects to theatre's new role as the civic and cultural center for our surrounding rural communities.
