"Live at the Temple Theatre" & "Return to the Temple"

Featuring Bob Hirsch & The Midcoast Reunion Jazz Band

with Bill Hanbck, trumpet; Kim Cusak, clarinet;Vince Bartels, drums;

Bob Schulz, trumpet, and Jerry Martin, bass.


These two CDs are live recordings at the theatre.  Nationally know jazz musicians come from all over the country to participate in the La Crosse's annual summer "Great River Jazz Festival." 

Bob Hirsch, who lives in California, is a Viroqua native and a great friend of  Thor Thorson.  Thor put together plans for two restoration benefit concerts that was greeted with great enthusiasm by jazz lovers all over the area in 1997 and 2000. When the Temple re-opened following the restoration, Bob returned to the stage for performances in the first 2002-1003 Season Series and the 2005-2006 Season Series, again sponsored by his great friend Thor.

 This CD was recorded live at the Temple Theatre and at the Heritage Park Club Center in Sacramento, CA with Jerry  Martin on bass and Vince Bartels on  drums.  Bob has dedicated this CD to the memory of JoAnn (Munyon) Kilmer, a friend and classmate.
